NHSS design and install Walkway Systems that provide safe access to roof top plant and equipment. Our Walkway systems are simple to install, lightweight yet incredibly strong and virtually maintenance-free. These walkway systems provide a simple solution to safety in the workplace.

For information Clause 60 OHS regulations- 2000 – introduces risk control measures relating to brittle roof or fragile roofs. It requires:

"That an employer/controller is to ensure that the risk of falls associated with persons working on, or passing across roofs, that are wholly or partly covered by brittle or fragile roofing materials are controlled by the use of the following measures: Permanent walkways."

Aluminium Walkways

The Walkway Systems can easily be fitted with aluminium handrails on one or both sides of the walkway. All walkways and handrails are designed to meet the relevant requirements of AS1657-1992 and various statutory codes of practice.

Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP) Walkway. **NEW**

New to market in May 07 – Cheaper than traditional aluminium, lighter, with fewer components reduces labour and lifting costs where large volume areas need to be covered.
Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP) grating is a moulded, one-piece fibreglass reinforced plastic grating; available in standard panels or fabricated into panels of the shape you require to fit your floor.

The square pattern design with interwoven construction allows load to be transferred to the adjoining bars providing a superior load-carrying capacity.

The high resin-to-glass ratio provides maximum corrosion resistance to a wide range of chemicals frequently encountered in many industries.

         FRP comes in one standard panel size 1220 x 3660 mm.
