Aim Description This unit covers the competency to undertake rescue in confined spaces as defined in AS2865 as a member of a single agency or multi-disciplinary team. Duration TBA. Unit/s of Competence Participants attending this course are required to demonstrate a high level knowledge and skill sufficient to enable them to demonstrate the concepts facilitated. The participants will only be expected to apply their knowledge in the context facilitated. and Codes The information is aligned to relevant NSW Occupational Health and Safety legislation, the National Code of Practice for Safe working in confined spaces, and various Australian Standards and CDSCC site procedures and equipment. Resources Required Suitable venues will be required to conduct both the theoretical and practical aspects of the training. It is most beneficial if access to site structures can be obtained for practical exercises. This needs to be arranged prior to the commencement of training if possible.
