Operate Breathing Apparatus - PMAOHS216B The aim of this course is to provide the participant with the knowledge and skills to participate in a confined space rescue. This course is designed for persons involved with participating in a confined space rescue. The course provides participants with OH&S and legislative requirements and procedures to ensure the health and safety of any persons required to perform a confined space rescue. * Conduct pre-donning checks and test Breathing Apparatus (BA) * Don and check & operate BA * Maintain, test and identify BA components * Describe the physiology of respiration * Respond to incidents requiring breathing apparatus to be worn and use safe working practices. Participants who successfully complete the course will be issued with an ‘credit card’ type certification and certificate of accreditation.
